How many GB is Street View?

Okay, so you're wondering about Street View... Like, how much stuff is actually in there, right? It's kind of mind-boggling when you think about it!

Well, get this: apparently, all those Google Street View images take up a whopping 16,000,000 GB. Yeah, that's 16 petabytes! I mean, who even knows what a petabyte is, really? It's HUGE, that's what it is.

The way they figure it, it's something like 1.6 billion individual images, and each image is around 0.01 GB. So, you multiply all that out, and BAM! You've got yourself a storage situation.

I remember once, I was trying to find this tiny little coffee shop I heard about in Rome. I ended up using Street View to virtually "walk" down the street until I spotted it! It was amazing, but it also made me think, "Wow, someone actually drove down this street and took pictures of everything." And all those pictures, all that data, is sitting somewhere. Crazy, huh? Makes you wonder what else is out there...
