How many stations does Shanghai Subway Line 13 have?
Shanghai Subway Line 13? How many stations? Gosh, let me think... Thirty-six, I think. Thirty-six! That's a lot, right?
Seriously, Shanghai's subway system blows my mind. I mean, I was there last year, and just navigating it felt like this huge adventure. Line 13 alone? It weaves all over the place – Pudong, Jingan… I remember getting completely lost trying to find the right transfer once, near that giant mall – you know the one, near the… uh… (Brain fart! The one with the really cool fountain outside!) Anyway. Thirty-six stations. I can barely remember the names of the five closest to my apartment back home, let alone thirty-six. It's insane.
They say it’s a testament to urban planning and all that, and I guess they're right. It’s impressive. But sometimes, I wonder about the poor souls who have to work on that system – the guys who have to remember every single station, every single connection... Seriously, that's gotta be a challenge! I'd probably forget half of them after a week. Give me a map and a coffee, and maybe then I have a chance. But still, it's pretty amazing how much easier it makes getting around for millions of people. Makes me appreciate the engineering, even if I do occasionally end up on the wrong train. Happens to the best of us, right?
