How many suitcases can you take on a plane for free?

Ugh, airline baggage fees, right? Don't even get me started! So, officially, most airlines say you get one carry-on bag and one personal item (like a purse, laptop bag, or small backpack) for free. But – and this is a BIG but – "most airlines" doesn't mean your airline. You know? It's like they all make up their own rules. I remember that time I flew… what was it… BudgetJet? Yeah, BudgetJet to visit my sister. I thought my little roller bag was fine, totally standard carry-on size. Nope. Apparently, their "standard" is, like, half the size of everyone else's. Ended up having to pay something ridiculous, like $75! It was insane. Seriously, who can even keep track anymore?! So, learn from my mistakes.
