How much does a 7 day African safari cost?

Wow, a seven-day African safari? My dream! Looking at those prices, from $125 to a staggering $1,500 a night, makes my head spin. Realistically, Id probably aim for a mid-range option around $350 – still a splurge, but think of the incredible memories! $1,500 a night though? Unless I suddenly win the lottery, thats pure fantasy territory.

Seven days on safari in Africa? Oh my gosh, that’s like, bucket list stuff right there! But how much does a 7-day African safari actually cost? Well, I’ve been doing some digging, and let me tell you, the range is… intense. I’ve seen everything from $125 a night to – get this – $1,500 a night! I mean, fifteen hundred?! What are they feeding you, gold-plated grubs?

Realistically, for me anyway, something around $350 a night seems more… doable? Still a major splurge, don’t get me wrong. I’d probably have to eat ramen for the next six months. But imagine the stories! Picture this: me, face-to-face with a giraffe, snapping photos like crazy (and probably dropping my camera in the excitement). Worth it? Maybe… Probably… Yes!

That $1,500 a night option though? Seriously, who are these people?! It’s like… another world. I remember reading about this luxury safari lodge where they had private plunge pools overlooking watering holes. Like, elephants could just stroll by while you’re chilling in your pool! Insane. Unless I suddenly discover I’m a long-lost Rothschild, that kind of luxury is definitely staying firmly in my daydreams. Sigh. A girl can dream, can’t she?
