How much is a meal cost in Vietnam?
Meal costs in Vietnam vary. Expect to pay 40,000–150,000 VND (roughly $2–$6 USD) for lunch. Street food can be even cheaper, while upscale restaurants will be more expensive. Budget around $10–$20 USD per day for all meals if you're looking for a comfortable dining experience.
How much do meals cost in Vietnam?
Okay, lemme tell you about food costs in Vietnam from my own messed-up experience. Laughs nervously.
A basic lunch there? I’d say anywhere from 40,000 VND to 150,000 VND, generally.
Right, detailed info is about average cost… Sorry, kinda scattered today.
Okay, so I was in Hanoi, remember? Man, street food heaven, right?
Banh mi for like, 20k VND (maybe $1 USD?) Seriously cheap eats.
But a decent pho place, like the one near Hoan Kiem Lake? Could easily hit 80k VND (around $3-4 USD). Super yummy tho!
Then, this one time in Hoi An… fancy riverside restaurant. A whole different story.
We’re talking like, 300k VND ($12-15 USD) per person just for lunch. Tourist trap, duh.
So yeah, it really depends on where you go and what you eat. But, you can definitely eat well on a budget there. Trust me!
Just uh… don’t order the weird fish sauce. Learned that the hard way, haha.
