Ugh, Hanoi taxi prices, right? It's a total crapshoot.
Last June, I got ripped off – a 7-seater cost me almost 20,000 VND per kilometer! That was near the airport, probably a tourist trap.
Usually, though, it’s closer to 12,000-15,000VND for smaller taxis. I used Grab a bunch, way easier.
Smaller cars are 11,000-15,000VND/km; larger ones, 13,000-18,000VND/km. Always negotiate or use Grab!
My advice? Grab app. Every time. Avoids the hassle completely.
