How to create a map of multiple locations?
Okay, so you wanna make a map with, like, a bunch of places on it? Totally doable! I remember trying to do this once for a road trip with my friends – planning a crazy cross-country adventure, you know? It was a nightmare without a good map, believe me.
First thing's first: Google My Maps. I'm sure you've heard of it, but if not, it's a lifesaver. Seriously. You open it up – and I mean, the website, not the app, although the app's fine too – and you either start a brand new map, nice and clean, or you can open one you’ve already started. You know, if you're like me and you start ten different maps and never finish them.
Then, there’s this little icon – it looks like a pin, or maybe a flag? I always forget – that says "Add marker". Click that. You might have different layers, like "Work," "Vacation Spots," "Places to Avoid Because That One Time..." You get the idea. Choose your layer, it helps organize everything, and then just click where you want to put your location on the map. Super simple, right?
After that, you get to name the place – I usually put something like “Aunt Carol’s amazing blueberry pie” instead of just “Aunt Carol’s house” because, let's be real, the pie is the important part. Then hit "Save." And yeah, repeat that whole process for every single place. It's a bit tedious, I'll admit. I once spent like an hour doing this for a family reunion—so many cousins! But it’s way better than trying to juggle a bunch of separate addresses. Trust me. It's worth the effort to have it all in one place.
