Reach Da Nang city from its airport (DAD) easily! Taxis are readily available (80,000-120,000 VND). Grab offers a cheaper ride-hailing option. Check if your hotel provides a shuttle. Public buses are available but less convenient with luggage.

Da Nang Airport to City Center: Best Transport?

Ugh, getting from Da Nang Airport (DAD) to the city? So many choices! I remember last October, hailing a Grab was super easy, about 100,000 VND. Cheap and fast.

Taxis are everywhere outside, though. Expect to shell out maybe 80,000 to 120,000 VND. A bit more pricey.

My hotel, the Palm Beach Resort (splurged a bit!), offered a shuttle. It was included, a nice perk. Not sure about other hotels though.

Public buses exist, but schlepping luggage… nope. Not my idea of a fun time. Definitely Grab or a taxi if you’re carrying things.

How do I get from Danang Airport to Da Nang?

The airport… it’s so far. A long, slow taxi ride. Twenty kilometers, they said. Felt longer. Twenty-two minutes, that’s what the app said. But it was probably more like thirty.

Nguyễn Tất Thành street… I remember that. Busy. Lots of motorbikes. The air… thick and hot, even at night. I wish I’d stayed longer in Hoi An.

Getting there is simple, though. A taxi is easiest. You could use Grab, too. I never did that. Always taxis.

  • Taxis are readily available at the airport.
  • Grab is an alternative. Download the app beforehand. Check the pricing!
  • The drive is straightforward. Just follow the directions.
  • Expect traffic. Especially during peak hours. It’s Vietnam.
  • My last trip… 2023. Cost me around 300,000 VND. A bit much.

That whole trip… a blur now. Just snippets, you know? Like the taste of that awful coffee near the Dragon Bridge. God. I need sleep.

Is there a grab in Da Nang?

Yeah, Grab is definitely in Da Nang.

Grab bikes everywhere, saw them near the Dragon Bridge, like, a zillion. So many tourists there now, feels like Phuket.

Okay, taxis though. Grab taxis, watch out.

Don’t just hop in some random car thinking it’s Grab.

It’s 2024. People still get scammed. Ugh.

Remember that time in Hoi An? Oof. I almost got ripped off paying with VND, what a mess. Always use the app, people!

Is this even helpful?

My Grab driver yesterday? Took me right past my hotel. Twice. Hilarious. Then, he overcharged. Life’s rich tapestry. Still, better than walking. Especially in the heat. Humidity’s a killer. My hotel? Liberty Central Saigon Citypoint. Good location. Rooftop pool. Needed that after the Grab adventure. Recommend. The pool, not the driver. Although… stories. Makes life interesting. Right?
