How to roam around Phi Phi Island?

Okay, so you wanna explore the Phi Phi Islands, huh? Lucky you! It’s seriously paradise. Now, the big question is, how do you actually get around those stunning islands?

Well, from my experience, you’ve basically got two main choices: speedboats or kayaks.

Speedboats are awesome if you’re short on time. They zip you around like nobody’s business, and you can see a bunch of different spots in a single day. I remember this one time, we hopped on a speedboat tour, and within hours, we’d snorkeled in Maya Bay (yes, the Maya Bay!), checked out Pileh Lagoon, and even spotted some monkeys chilling on Monkey Beach. It was whirlwind, but so worth it! Plus, you get that wind-in-your-hair, James Bond kind of feeling, you know?

But… and this is a big but… if you really want to experience Phi Phi, I’d say rent a kayak. Honestly, kayaking around those limestone cliffs and into those secret little caves is just magical. You can get so close to the rock formations, see the little fish swimming around, and just soak it all in at your own pace. There’s something so peaceful about it. I mean, imagine paddling into a hidden cove, the only sound the gentle lapping of the water against your kayak… doesn’t that sound amazing? Just remember to bring lots of sunscreen and water, because you’ll be out there for a while!
