How to Obtain Permanent Residency in Vietnam

Securing permanent residency in Vietnam is a straightforward process that involves a few key steps:

1. Qualify for Permanent Residency:

To be eligible for permanent residency in Vietnam, you must meet one of the following criteria:

• Be married to a Vietnamese citizen
• Be a skilled worker with a job offer from a Vietnamese company
• Have a valid work permit for at least three consecutive years
• Be a retiree with an income of at least $500 per month
• Have made significant investments in Vietnam

2. Apply for Permanent Residency:

Once you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for permanent residency by submitting the following documents to the Immigration Department of the Ministry of Public Security:

• Application form
• Passport and visa
• Proof of eligibility (e.g., marriage certificate, employment contract, business registration)
• Medical certificate
• Police clearance certificate

3. Receive Notification of Approval:

After reviewing your application, the Immigration Department will notify you of its decision. If your application is approved, you will receive a notification letter.

4. Obtain Permanent Residence Card:
