What is the best way to travel between Spain and France?

Okay, so I was in Barcelona, right? Late August, the heat was still a beast. I had this ridiculously early flight to Paris, like, sunrise. Seriously, the alarm went off at 4 AM. The flight was definitely the move.

I remember lugging my suitcase through El Prat Airport, the fluorescent lights buzzing. The whole flight, maybe 1 hour and 45 minutes tops, I was just slumped in my seat, trying not to drool on the person next to me. Flying is your fastest bet, no question.

My friend, though, bless her heart, she took the train from Barcelona to Paris a few weeks later. She complained about it for ages. Said it felt like forever.

She kept texting me updates. “Still on the train,” “Just passed Lyon,” “So bored.” It sounded like a whole day of her life just… gone.
