Is 1 hour layover enough for customs?

Is an hour enough for an international layover? Seriously?! One hour? No way, not usually. I mean, I've seen people sprint through airports, desperately trying to make a connection that tight, but it's just so stressful. Officially, yeah, sometimes an hour is the minimum they'll even let you book, but trust me, it’s cutting it way too close.

Think about it: you've got to get off the plane, potentially navigate a completely unfamiliar airport (which can feel like a maze, am I right?), then there's immigration...that line can be a killer, sometimes takes forever! Remember that time we were stuck in Heathrow? Ugh, nightmare. Then, baggage claim (which always feels like an eternity when you're pressed for time) and finally, customs. All in an hour? It's like some kind of crazy Olympic sport.

Honestly, even if everything goes perfectly smoothly (and let's be real, how often does that happen when you're traveling?), you're still going to be running, heart pounding, sweating…not a fun way to start your trip. I always try to book at least a 2 or 3-hour layover for international flights. Gives me time to breathe, grab a coffee, maybe even a little snack. So, yeah, I'd say skip the one-hour layover if you can. Your sanity will thank you!
