Is 2 weeks enough for Portugal?

Okay, so two weeks in Portugal? Absolutely! I was blown away by how much we packed in. Lisbons vibrant energy, Portos charm, those adorable villages tucked away... and the food? Forget about it! Honestly, I felt like I barely scratched the surface. Two weeks gives you a taste, a really good one, but Portugal deserves way more love. Im already dreaming of going back!

Two weeks in Portugal? Is that enough? Honestly, I thought it would be, before I went. But even now, looking back, I’m like, “Wow, maybe not quite!” Two weeks? Absolutely! We crammed so much in, it was crazy. I mean, Lisbon – the energy there, buzzing, electric, you just get pulled into it. Remember that tiny, hidden Fado bar we found, the one with the chipped paint and the amazing singer? Pure magic. Then Porto, so different, all charming cobblestone streets and those port wine cellars… I could have spent a week just in Porto, easily.

And the little villages! Oh my gosh, those tiny, whitewashed houses clinging to the hillsides, overlooking the ocean – it’s like something out of a fairytale. We drove through the Algarve, stopped at a little beach town I can’t even remember the name of now, but I still have a picture of my feet in the sand, the water so clear… it felt like paradise.

The food, though? Don’t even get me started. Seriously. The seafood – unbelievably fresh, the Pastel de Nata – oh, those pastries! I gained like five pounds, I swear. Worth it. Every. Single. Bite. We tried to eat everything! And we barely scratched the surface. There were so many regions, so many dishes, I just know we missed a ton.

Two weeks gives you a really good taste of Portugal, a proper flavour, but it’s like having a single bite of the most amazing cake. You want more, so much more! It left me wanting… more time, more Pastel de Natas, maybe a slightly less frantic pace, lol. I’m already planning my return trip, probably for at least a month next time! I need to explore the Azores, you know? Heard they’re stunning! So yeah, two weeks is good, a great start, but Portugal deserves way more than that. It really, really does.
