Is a 2 week vacation a lot?

Two weeks vacation? Is that a lot? Psh. It feels like a blink, doesn't it? I mean, seriously, two weeks goes by SO fast. I remember this one time, I went to Italy for two weeks – dream trip, right? – and it felt like I just got there and then bam, packing my bags again. So much for "la dolce vita." Two weeks is what, the standard most people get? I guess it's better than nothing, sure. You can squeeze in a decent trip, I suppose. But then you're right back to the grind. Ugh.

I swear, I end up using the rest of my vacation days just sprinkled throughout the year, you know? Like a long weekend here, a random Wednesday there... just trying to catch my breath. It's not the same. It never feels like enough. A solid two weeks all at once? Now that's the dream. Imagine, two whole weeks to really unwind, to really explore somewhere new, like, say, Japan? I’d love to go to Japan. Two weeks wouldn’t even be enough for that! Anything less than two weeks for a big trip, honestly, it's barely a vacation. It's just a tease. A fleeting escape, like you said. Leaves you wanting more. Always wanting more.
