Visa-Free Entry to the Philippines for Thai Citizens

Holders of Thai passports can travel to the Philippines without a visa for stays of up to 30 days. This visa-free policy allows Thai citizens to enjoy short-term visits to the Philippines for tourism, business, or other non-lucrative purposes.

The visa-free privilege is granted upon arrival at any authorized port of entry in the Philippines. Thai passport holders simply need to present their valid passport and other required travel documents, such as an onward or return ticket.

During their 30-day visa-free stay, Thai citizens are permitted to engage in various activities, including:

  • Tourism and sightseeing
  • Business meetings and conferences
  • Family visits
  • Cultural exchange
  • Education and research

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for visa-free entry to the Philippines, Thai passport holders must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a valid Thai passport with at least six months of remaining validity beyond the intended date of departure from the Philippines
  • Possess an onward or return ticket out of the Philippines
  • Have sufficient funds to support their stay in the Philippines
  • Be of good character and not pose any risk to the security or health of the Philippines

Extension of Stay

If Thai citizens wish to extend their stay in the Philippines beyond 30 days, they can apply for an extension of stay at the Bureau of Immigration’s main office in Manila or any of its regional offices throughout the country. An extension fee will be applicable.

Important Notes

  • Thai citizens who exceed their 30-day visa-free stay may be fined or subject to deportation.
  • Visa-free entry does not guarantee permission to work or engage in any other form of employment in the Philippines.
  • It is recommended that Thai passport holders carry copies of their travel documents and any other relevant information for easy reference during their stay in the Philippines.
