Is driving in Portugal stressful?

Oh my gosh, driving in Portugal, especially Lisbon? Stressful is an understatement! That Discover Cars survey is spot on. Ive been white-knuckling it through those narrow, winding streets. The aggressive drivers, the unpredictable scooters, the constant hills...its a recipe for anxiety! Honestly, sometimes Id rather take the bus and save myself the headache. Its beautiful there, but behind the wheel? Not so much.

Is driving in Portugal stressful? Oh my gosh, you have no idea. Especially Lisbon? Forget stressful, it’s a full-blown anxiety attack waiting to happen! That Discover Cars survey – I saw that one, right? They totally nailed it. I mean, I’ve spent entire trips white-knuckling the steering wheel, my knuckles practically glowing in the dark. Those streets are insane! Narrow, winding, often cobbled… like a rollercoaster you can’t get off. And the drivers? Don’t even get me started. Aggressive is putting it mildly. I swear, they think blinkers are optional, and merging? That’s a free-for-all. Remember that time I nearly kissed a scooter? I still have nightmares! Then there are the hills. Endless hills! It’s like they built the entire city on a ridiculously steep incline. Honestly, sometimes I just think, “Screw it, I’ll take the tram!” It’s beautiful, Portugal, absolutely breathtaking. The views are amazing. But behind the wheel? Nope. Not for me. It’s just not worth the heart palpitations. Maybe I’m a wimp, I don’t know. But seriously, next time I’m going to rely more on public transport. Maybe rent a car for a day trip outside the city or something. But Lisbon? Nah. I’m sticking to the metro.
