Is Global Entry really faster?

Is Global Entry really faster? Oh my gosh, yes! At least, in my experience, it's been a total game-changer. I travel internationally maybe twice a year, not a ton, but enough to know the sheer misery of those customs lines. Remember that time I got back from Italy? We were packed onto that flight, and the customs line? It snaked around like a giant, sluggish python. I swear I saw people actually starting to cry. Seriously.

But with Global Entry? It's like magic. Okay, maybe not magic, but close. You get TSA PreCheck, which is amazing in itself – no more taking off your shoes and belt, which, let's be honest, is a small victory in itself. But the real win? Zooming through customs. I've been through those kiosks in, like, five minutes, tops. Five minutes! While everyone else is stuck staring at the back of some stranger's head for what felt like an hour.

It's such a relief, you know? Coming home from a trip is usually exhausting enough, without adding hours of standing in a queue. Anything that makes that process even slightly less awful is totally worth the price of admission, in my opinion. I mean, think of it this way – is your time and sanity worth a little extra cash? For me, absolutely.
