Hanoi shines with its culture and sightseeing. HCMC? Think diverse food and wild nightlife. Seriously, the food scene is amazing.

Personally, I started in HCMC 'cause, well, food. I landed there around November 2018. The non-stop energy was unreal. I mean, I practically lived off pho for a week – so good.
Like, you step outside & there's a whole world of street food that you may never find anything close ever again. I paid like, less than $2 (USD) for some of the best meals I've ever had. No joke.
Hanoi's got a different vibe, tho. Ancient temples and a more relaxed pace. It's beautiful, but HCMC grabbed me. Also the airport in HCMC felt modern.

I visited Hoi An a couple of years back, the tailor shops were endless. Be prepared to haggle! What a place, what a year, 2022!
