Currently, there are only four regular train services operating between the two countries:

• Porto to Vigo: Two daily trains run between the coastal city of Porto, Portugal, and Vigo, Spain. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
• Elvas to Badajoz: Two daily trains also connect the eastern Portuguese town of Elvas to Badajoz, Spain. This journey is shorter, taking about 30 minutes.

These trains provide a reliable and convenient mode of transportation across the border, offering comfortable seating, luggage storage, and scenic views. However, it’s important to note that these are the only operating train routes between Portugal and Spain, and other connections have been discontinued.
