What are the current travel safety advisories for Moscow?

So, the FCDO, you know, it's telling folks, like, absolutely no travel to Russia right now. Seriously. It just says 'all travel.' Makes you wonder how things got this… intense.

And the reason for this, they say, its all about the 'risks and threats from its continuing invasion of Ukraine.' It feels kinda heavy, like a cloud over a place you might've thought about visiting someday, before all this changed everything so much. Just makes you pause, doesn't it.

They really emphasize safety and security. Like, that's the main thing on their mind, protecting people from, well, whatever might be happening there. It’s a pretty clear warning, for sure.

And then you got to think about the other practical bits they mention too, like 'entry requirements' and 'getting help.' How tricky would that even be if you were stuck? It's not just the big picture war stuff, it's the everyday difficulties that make it seem… almost impossible to navigate safely. What a mess.

And health. They even bring up 'health' as a concern. It just adds another layer to the whole 'don't even think about it' vibe. Makes you think about resources, or lack thereof, maybe.

I mean, I remember planning a trip to somewhere completely different, like, February last year, right before things escalated. We were looking at train tickets through Europe, so innocent. Now, hearing Moscow, it’s just a completely different world. Like, from daydreaming about a coffee in a foreign square to 'nope, absolutely not.' My brother, he wanted to see the Red Square once, just once. A real shame.
