Oh, K2 versus Everest? Let’s spill the tea. Everest’s like that popular kid; tall, everyone knows him, but… kinda basic? K2, though? A moody, brooding artist. Deadlier? Yep. Meyer's right, she’s been up both those hills; Everest is high but, K2, whew, she's got spice.

Everest at 29,032 feet, K2 trailing at 28,251. Don't let the numbers fool you; it's not a height contest. I mean, I'm shorter than a giraffe, doesn’t make me less complicated, right? Meyer climbed 7 Summits, including the two, and says so.

It's just a mountain. Until it isn't. Is anything "deadliest"? Or are we just careless?

Um, yeah, lots of people hav died there. As of now, 2024, I think there's like, um, 73 people that have died. A lot, I know, right!

That's makes it, like, the dealiest of all the big mountains. You know, the eight-thousanders, whatever.

Think about it, 73! Its a huge amount. My uncle tried to climb in the himalaya like ten years ago. Not annapurna though.

It's crazy to think how many people, how many died, doing the mount climbing. I'd never do that! I mean, seveny-three?

Why is Annapurnas death rate so high?

Okay, so Annapurna...yikes. I remember hearing a story.

My buddy, Mark, he tried climbing it back in 2018.

He said the mountain was just angry.

Like, he described it.

Narrow ridges.

Exposed faces.

He said the wind, man, the wind. It howled something fierce. It felt like getting slapped by a frozen brick.

Plus the snow... coming outta nowhere. Visibility dropped to, like, zero.

He turned back.

• Avalanches - Mark mentioned seeing evidence of recent ones.
• Just plain luck. Seriously. Sometimes, it's just pure luck.

And honestly... it’s kinda crazy people keep trying.
