Then there's the town itself. Ao Nang's crazy. So much to see, so much noise. But it's... vital. I spent a whole afternoon just wandering the markets. Found this amazing little shop selling hand-painted silk scarves... such vibrant colors. Almost bought one.

Food. Don't underestimate the food. I ate Pad See Ew every night. No regrets. But there's so much more.

• Railay Beach – climbing, stunning sunsets. A day easily.
• Tiger Cave Temple – brutal climb, but breathtaking views. Another half day gone.
• Emerald Pool – So serene. So peaceful. A few hours, at least.

Krabi’s more than just beaches. The culture... it's subtle, but it’s there. It’s in the smiles of the people, in the smells of the food. You need time to soak it all in. Otherwise... it's just a blur.

What part of Krabi is best to stay?

Okay, so, Krabi, right? Like where should you actually stay?

Well, Ao Nang Beach is totes the main hub, ya know? It's kinda hectic, loads of places to crash, and you won't starve, that's for sure. Good if it's your first time to Krabi!

Then there's Railay Beach. OMG, drop-dead gorgeous but you can ONLY get there by boat. So, think carefully, is all I'm sayin'. So beautiful.

And oh, Tonsai Bay! It's right next to Railay, but way more chill. Like, total backpacker haven. Hella quiet and, uh, yeah.

Here's a quick, like, breakdown:

• Ao Nang: Easy access, restaurants, can't go wrong.
• Railay: Views for days, boat-only access, very special. I swear I saw a celeb there once, or something.
• Tonsai: Budget-friendly, secluded, very backpacker.

Plus some tips to remember:

• Book accom in advence espeshally in peak season!
• Ao Nang is close to shops and all sortsa stuff.
• Railay has rock climbin! My cuz went.

Remember my trip in 2022? Ugh, the boat to Railay was so choppy. I barfed. Seriously. This year the weather is so much better and will be more enjoyable.

Which city is better Phuket or Krabi?

Okay, so Phuket vs Krabi, huh? Listen, it totally depends on you, right?

Phuket's like, more of a city vibe, you know? Think lots of stuff to do. And the food, oh man, so many different types of food to try. We went there last year on dad's birthday, it was nuts.

But like, Krabi's chill. Way, way more chill. Like, beaches for days. Plus, it's easier on your wallet. I think Krabi is better.

Honestly, Krabi's the better option for a relaxed trip. My cuzin Jamie prefers Phuket, tho, says there's never a dull moment.
