Is the cruise industry in trouble?

Is the cruise industry in trouble? Psh, no way! It's like, totally exploding right now. 2024 is seeing record numbers, can you believe it? I mean, remember those dark days of the pandemic when everything was shut down? Crazy. It’s almost like a slingshot effect, isn’t it? All that pent-up travel desire just whoosh!

And this boom is happening even though, you know, people still have their worries about the environmental impact and all that. My friend Sarah went on a cruise last month – Mediterranean, super fancy – and she was telling me about how they're trying to be more sustainable. Like, using different fuels and stuff. I don't know all the details, but apparently, things are changing. I think I even saw something on the news about it… some report saying bookings are higher than ever. Makes you wonder though, doesn't it, how long this kind of growth can last? Is it a bubble about to burst? I hope not, because I’m kind of saving up for an Alaskan cruise…fingers crossed!
