Is there a Grab in the UK?
Grab in the UK? Seriously? I always thought Grab was, like, totally Southeast Asia. You know, those bright green cars zipping around Bangkok? That's what pops into my head anyway.
So, yeah, turns out there is a Grab in the UK. Get Grab Limited, to be exact. A bit underwhelming, isn't it? Not the same zing, somehow. I looked it up – it's a registered company, all official and stuff, number 10614937, Devonshire House, 60 Goswell Road, London EC1M 7AD. Honestly, that address sounds a bit…corporate. Not exactly screaming "ride-sharing revolution!"
I wonder what they do over there? Is it the same app? Do they have those crazy motorbike taxis? Probably not. Probably just another ride-hailing service, competing with Uber and all those guys. Makes you think, huh? Globalization is wild. You’d never guess it from my experience with Grab in Vietnam – totally different ball game! Remember that time I got stuck in a monsoon? The driver was so cheerful, even with the rain pouring.
