Is there WiFi at train stations in Japan?
WiFi in Japan? Oh man, that's a great question! I remember my first trip there, I was SO worried about staying connected. You know, constantly checking maps, messaging family, maybe even uploading that amazing ramen picture before it got cold... Anyway, yeah, most of the big train stations, definitely. Like, I used it in Tokyo – tons of places had it. Even some of the smaller ones, surprisingly. I mean, not every tiny little countryside stop, but more than you’d expect.
And get this – even on the bullet trains! I was totally blown away. I took the Tokaido Shinkansen, which is like, the main one, right? And they had WiFi the whole time! Seriously, I was streaming music, checking emails... felt almost decadent, haha. So yeah, don't worry too much about being offline in Japan, at least on the trains. You'll probably be surprised how much connectivity there actually is. It was way better than I anticipated!
