Okay, so, Vietnam taxis. Right, 15,000 dong. Like, sixty-four cents? Per kilometer, Something like that. But, it’s tricky. Different for longer trips you know? Like, went to Nha Trang last year – long cab ride from the airport. Way cheaper per kilometer after the first, I dunno, ten? Fifteen k’s? Got a Mai Linh cab. They’re everywhere. Vinasun too. Used them in Hanoi, think it was a bit more expensive there? Ugh, can’t really remember.

• 15,000 VND (about $0.64 USD) per km – That’s your average starting point.
• Longer trips get discounts. Seriously. Look for those deals.
• Mai Linh and Vinasun are big companies. You’ll seee them.
• Prices can change. City to city, even. Airport transfers def more. Watch out for that. Last time flew into Tan Son Nhat, felt kinda ripped off.
• Haggle if you can. Not always, but worth a shot, expecially at airports.

Last summer, went up to Sapa. Totally different story. No meters, had to agree on a price before. Whole other thing with those mountain roads. Pretty sure I overpaid! So, yeah. It depends.

Is Da Nang expensive to visit?

Ugh, Da Nang. Sunburnt like crazy. March 2024. My Tho street food was better, honestly. Spent, like, 600 bucks in a week? Maybe more. Flights were a killer. Stayed near My Khe beach. So touristy. Beer was cheap though. Phở for breakfast every single day. Obsessed.

• Ba Na Hills: Golden Bridge. Tourist trap. Still cool. Cable car was awesome.
