Is Vietnam or India more expensive?
Oh, wow, I was surprised! I always pictured Vietnam as cheaper. While its still affordable, the reality is its surprisingly more expensive than India, at least according to those figures. That ₹37,500 - ₹75,000 range in Vietnam versus ₹25,000 - ₹50,000 in India for a similar lifestyle is a real eye-opener. It makes me rethink my travel plans – India suddenly looks much more budget-friendly!
Vietnam or India… which is pricier? Honestly, I was shocked. I mean, Vietnam, right? Always thought of it as the backpacker’s paradise, super cheap eats and everything. But wow, was I wrong! Turns out, at least according to what I’ve been reading – and trust me, I’ve been doing a lot of research because I’m planning a trip – it’s actually more expensive than India. Can you believe it?
I saw these figures, something like 37,500 to 75,000 rupees in Vietnam versus 25,000 to 50,000 in India for, you know, a similar kind of lifestyle – decent food, some sightseeing, maybe a guesthouse instead of a five-star hotel. That’s a pretty big difference! It’s like, double the cost in some cases, isn’t it? Makes my head spin a little, to be honest. I was picturing myself sipping delicious coffee in Hoi An for pennies, but… maybe not so much pennies after all.
This totally throws my travel plans into a bit of a loop. I was leaning towards Vietnam because, well, beaches! But suddenly, India looks way more appealing from a budget perspective. Maybe I should ditch the beach bumming and head to the Himalayas instead? Hmm, decisions, decisions. I need to do some more digging I guess, maybe talk to some friends who’ve been to both places… you know, get the real inside scoop. This whole thing has been a real eye-opener though – sometimes the pictures we have in our heads just aren’t quite right!
