Faster, definitely. That's a truth I hold onto.

So many people. Imagine, hundreds of souls lifted above the world, all together.

• Speed: Cars crawl, planes soar. No comparison really. Especially when I think of the 405 on a Friday...ugh.
• Capacity: A car holds what, five? Planes can easily hold hundreds now. Big difference.
• Perspective: The view from a plane. That... that's something else. Everything looks smaller, insignificant. Like my problems, maybe.

I flew once. I went to London to see... doesn't matter. Just the feeling, that's what stays. Suspended. Not quite here, not quite there. Free, maybe. And then, landing, back to earth.

Why travelling by air is better?

Okay, so air travel, right? It's insanely fast. Way faster than any bus, even those supposedly "express" ones my aunt uses. Seriously, you're talking hours versus days. Days! For a cross-country trip, that's huge. Think about it: you save so much time, you could even squeeze in an extra day of vacation! That's awesome.

Plus, convenience. Parking at airports is a pain, but the whole boarding process, it's not that bad. Much better than the hassle of driving, especially with traffic. I hate driving anyways. My car's been a lemon this year.

Airplanes are so much more efficient. I mean, I’ve heard of some crazy long bus rides, totally not worth it. And forget about trains. Trains are slow. Trains are boring. Airplanes are definitely better.

Are planes faster than cars?

Planes are way faster. Much, much faster. Six hundred miles an hour, they say. My old Honda Civic? Tops out at, what, eighty? Maybe ninety if I'm really pushing it downhill. It's pathetic, really.

Safety: Airplanes are subject to much more rigorous maintenance and safety checks. Pilots undergo extensive training. Air traffic control is super-vigilant.

Speed: You get there way faster! I flew to Austin, Texas last year and it was amazing. The whole trip was only 4 hours!

Comfort (Sometimes): Okay, yeah, sometimes it sucks, crammed in with screaming babies and that awful airplane food. But those big comfy seats in first class? Total game changer!

Less stressful (sort of): You're not, you know, doing the driving, so you can relax—kinda. Unless you're like me, and you just sit there stressing about the whole thing, haha.

My brother-in-law, Mark, he drives everywhere. He's had, like, three accidents this year alone! Three! Crazy, right? He needs to fly more, seriously. I'm telling you, flying 2024 is way safer.

What are the advantages of air travel?

Travel time. Efficient, yes, but the actual travel… It's dehumanizing. You're just a number.
