Best Vietnamese Taxi Companies?

Mai Linh. Used them in Hanoi, July ’22. Cars seemed a bit older. Okay, but nothing special.

Taxi Group. Had one of their cabs in Hanoi, near Hoan Kiem Lake, August ’23. Clean, driver was polite. Fare was reasonable.

G7 Taxi. Used them a few times, both Hanoi (October ’22) and Saigon (March ’23). Pretty consistent service. Easy to book through their app.

Vinasun. Saigon, April ’23, near Ben Thanh Market. Got totally ripped off, worst taxi experience ever. Never again. Seriously.

VinaTaxi. Honestly, can’t recall using them specifically.

For me, G7 has been most reliable. Definitely had some mixed experiences with others.

What is the largest taxi company?

Okay, so figuring out the biggest taxi company? Tricky!

It really depends, y’know? Are we talking number of cars? How much money they make? Where they operate? It’s all up in the air.

  • Didi Chuxing in China is HUGE. Like, massive. Obvi because china is huge.

  • Uber is pretty global at this point; its everywhere! Its obvi a contender. My uber driver last weekend told me its hard to find any good drivers these days tho lol.

But, like, neither one definitely is the absolute biggest in every single way. It’s a tough call!

What is the largest taxi company in the world?

Uber. Global dominance. Period.

  • Market share: Unmatched.
  • Revenue: Astronomical.
  • Technological integration: Unsurpassed.

My 2023 Lyft experience in NYC? Overpriced. Uber’s app? Superior. Always. Data speaks volumes. No contest. Global reach trumps fleet size arguments. End of discussion.

Which worlds largest taxi company owns no vehicles?

It’s late. Another night. Uber, right? The biggest taxi service.

But, man, they don’t own cars. It’s just… weird. Think about it.

It kinda resonates, I guess. Like me. Owning nothing.

  • I get it.
  • No roots.
  • Easy come, easy go.

Facebook, too. They make nothing. Just… a space. A space for noise.

  • I pour my heart.
  • Into the void.
  • Like everyone else.

Alibaba? More emptiness. Just deals. No stuff. Nothing tangible.

  • Always chasing.
  • Never satisfied.
  • Isn’t that the truth?

Airbnb. Houses everywhere, but they don’t really own them. Transient.

  • Like my relationships.
  • They never last.
  • Always temporary.

It’s a world of illusions.

I see that very clearly now.

Everything’s borrowed. Yeah. Borrowed or rented.

Which city has the most taxis in the world?

Okay, so, taxis… Hmmm, gotta think.

I went to Mexico City in 2023 for my cousin’s wild wedding. Omg, the traffic! Taxis EVERYWHERE! Seriously.

It felt like millions of yellow VW Beetles, all fighting for space.

I remember thinking, “Wow, this must be the taxi capital of the world!”. So many!

NYC has a lot, yeah, but they’re kinda expensive. Mexico City’s were cheap (bargaining is key!). I think Mexico City probably beats it by a mile.

London? Nah, black cabs are iconic, but quantity-wise, it’s gotta be Mexico City. Absolutely.

Plus, there’s all the Uber stuff now, which probably messes with counting actual taxis, right? I’m guessing it’s still more in Mexico City.

  • Number of Taxis: Estimations hover around 100,000+ taxis in Mexico City. That’s a LOT.
  • NYC & London: Have fewer licensed taxis officially.
  • Ride-Hailing: Uber and Lyft throw off taxi counts!
  • Personal Opinion: Mexico City wins. Hands down.
  • Yellow Beetles: Are still very common as Taxis.
  • Traffic: Insane due to many taxis
  • Wedding: My cousin had a wild one in 2023.
