Visa-Free Travel for Thai Citizens: Which Countries?

Okay, here's my take on visa-free travel for Thai citizens, all personalized and chatty-like:

OMG, visa-free travel? Always been my dream, haha. Let's see... countries Thai people can visit without a visa, right? Okay, buckle up, kinda a long list:

Argentina – 90 days. Barbados – 90 days. Brazil – 90 days. Brunei – 14 days. Cambodia – 14 days. Chile – 90 days. Dominica – 21 days. Ecuador – 90 days.

Been to Cambodia myself, like back in March 2018, Siem Reap specifically. Only needed my passport, suuuper easy. Think it cost me maybe 5000 Baht for the whole trip, excluding the flight. Bargain!

Never considered Argentina. Nintey days there sounds AMAZING though, imagne exploring that country for nearly three months. I need to put it on the list!

Brazil, Chile, Ecuador... These south american destinations look so amazing, I would love to go some day, but its gotta be next on my list.

Barbados and Dominica sound very appealing. I have never been to the Caribbean and now might just be the time to take a well deserved vacation.

Which countries can Thais visit without a visa?

Okay, so Japan, right? I went in 2023, November. Amazing. Five and a half hour flight, felt shorter. Seriously. The bullet train is nuts, so fast! I loved the food, the temples, especially Fushimi Inari. Spent twelve days, not fifteen, but it felt longer. Didn't need a visa, that was sweet.

South Korea, yeah, I heard about that 90-day visa-free thing. Sounds incredible. Always wanted to go, Seoul specifically. The K-dramas make it look amazing, seriously. Maybe next year.

Singapore. Clean, crazy efficient. Been there twice. No visa needed. Great for shopping. Too pricey though. Hate the humidity.

Malaysia. Went to KL a few years back. No visa needed then, and I assume that's still true. Petronas Towers were cool, but the food markets, oh man, the food markets! So much delicious chaos.

Maldives. Pure luxury, that's the word. Not exactly my style, honestly. Beautiful beaches, but I prefer a bit more hustle and bustle. Visa-free? I’d need to check that.

Vietnam. Ha Long Bay is stunning. Absolutely gorgeous! I think it's visa-free for short stays, but I'm not completely sure. I need to double-check that. Went in 2022.

Philippines. Been to Manila and Cebu. Crazy busy, vibrant. The beaches were okay. Didn't need a visa, no probs there. A little too hectic for me personally.

Russia. That's a big one. I wouldn’t go there now. Too much going on. Wasn't visa-free before, probably still isn't. No way I am going near that place right now! Too risky.

  • Japan: Visa-free for a certain period, amazing food and culture.
  • South Korea: 90 days visa-free, K-drama vibes.
  • Singapore: Visa-free, ultra-clean but expensive.
  • Malaysia: Visa-free, incredible street food.
  • Maldives: Beautiful but expensive, check visa requirements.
  • Vietnam: Probably visa-free for short stays, stunning natural beauty.
  • Philippines: Visa-free, vibrant but chaotic.
  • Russia: Currently, I would strongly advise against traveling to Russia.

Which countries need a visa on arrival for Thailand?

Ugh, visas. Thailand, right? I remember back in 2023, planning that trip... such a headache!

Okay, so, Visa on Arrival (VOA) for Thailand... it's a thing for some countries.

I definitely remember researching this back then. Specifically, I was trying to get my friend Anna to go; she's from Serbia.

  • Serbia needs VOA! Yep, that was her issue. Had to tell her like a million times.
  • Others included, Russia, Bulgaria, and Romania.

Europeans, basically the Armenia, Belarus, and Georgia too.

My other friend, he's from India. Poor guy!

  • He was stressed, needed the VOA. So, India needed it.
  • Countries in Asia, like China and Kazakhstan also need one.

It's funny, I almost forgot about all this visa stuff! Oh, and Taiwan.

I think I saw Bolivia and Venezuela. South America, I wasn't paying too close attention. Too busy dealing with Anna’s drama.

Okay, so other countries include:

  • Ethiopia and Namibia. Some African countries.
  • Also, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Central Asia again.
  • Ugh, Mexico? Seriously?

I recall looking up Costa Rica and El Salvador, they showed up on the list too.

Bhutan, too, I think. This list is insane! The rules always change, so better check directly, right? Like, right now before planning anything.

Lastly I remember seeing Paraguay, Seychelles, and Tunisia. And Malta as well. Gosh I hated this part, never again.
