What does "high top" mean when booking a table?

So, what's the deal with "high top" when you're booking a table? Ugh, right? High tops. Those are those super tall bar tables, aren't they? You know the ones I mean – the kind that make you feel like you're at a perpetually awkward cocktail party? I remember once, my friend Sarah and I tried to have a nice dinner at this trendy new place, and all they had left were high tops. Let me tell you, trying to delicately eat pasta while leaning forward like a hunchback is NOT my idea of a good time. Seriously, my back ached for days afterwards! I felt like I was at a baseball game, trying to sneak a hotdog between innings.

It's just not conducive to a relaxed meal, you know? I crave that cozy, comfortable feeling when I'm dining out. Give me a standard height table any day. I want to be able to comfortably rest my elbows and actually enjoy my food, not feel like I’m about to topple over. Maybe it's just me, but I think proper posture is important, even at a restaurant!
