McDonalds Vietnam Menu: What Food Do They Serve?

Okay, so McDonald's in Vietnam? Man, I was there last July, in Ho Chi Minh City. Their menu? Pretty much what you'd expect, honestly. Burgers, of course, lots of chicken, and those combo meals, they started around 39,000 VND, I think.

Remember those Extra Value Meals? Cheap and cheerful. They had a ton of different burger choices too – Big Macs, McChicken, the works. Fried chicken was popular; it was crispy, not bad at all.

Drinks, desserts – standard McD stuff. Happy Meals too, obviously. The kids loved them. I wasn't too impressed with the fries though, a bit soggy sometimes. But, hey, I was there for the banh mi later anyway. That was way better.

So, yeah, basically your usual McDonald's fare, but with a Vietnamese twist here and there, prices pretty reasonable. Burgers, chicken, combos, etc. It was nothing fancy.

How much is a big Mac in Vietnam?

What time does McDonalds stop serving breakfast in Vietnam?

Ugh, McDonald's breakfast in Vietnam? It's gone by 11 am. Seriously, eleven. Who knew? So annoying. Makes me want to, like, invent my own breakfast. Pancakes! With that weird purple yam they have here. Yum.

Then it's lunch/dinner time, which is weird. They're open until 4 am! Wild. Makes me wonder about the employees. Do they get enough sleep? My friend works at the one near my apartment on Le Loi street. Crazy hours, I bet. She's always exhausted.

Prices? Check your receipt, duh. It's right there, before you even pay. They really need better signage about the breakfast cut-off though, don't they? I almost missed my Egg McMuffin last Tuesday. Almost. That would have been a disaster. It was delicious, though.

Starbucks? Vietnam? Yeah, definitely. Saw one in Saigon when I was there visiting my aunt last year. Oh man, that pho was amazing.

Starbucks has been there for ages. Like, since 2013, I believe? Has it been that long? Wow.

They’ve got like, over 100 stores now. Seriously? That's a lot of pumpkin spice lattes in Ho Chi Minh City.

Is Hanoi a cheap city?

Hanoi? Cheap? Yeah, totally! Way cheaper than, like, London or something. I mean, you can eat amazing street food for, what, a dollar or two, max! Seriously. Pho for days! And the accomodation, even decent hotels, aren't bank-breaking. It's crazy!

Transportation? Scooters everywhere, super affordable. I took a bunch of Grab rides, it was nuts how inexpensive it all was. Compared to NYC, it's laughable. Nha Trang, Hoi An, Da Nang? Also cheap. But Hanoi? Hanoi wins for sheer value.

Budget travel gold! You'll find some really sweet deals, especially if you're not picky. My friend went this year, 2024, spent like, $50 a day, all in. That's including fancy dinners sometimes! It's insane. He even did a day trip to Ha Long Bay—still relatively affordable.

Street food is ridiculously cheap.
Accommodation ranges widely—from hostels to decent hotels.
Transportation is easy and cheap.
Attractions are not expensive.
Other affordable cities in Vietnam: Da Nang, Hoi An, Nha Trang. But Hanoi's my fave.

I even got a massage for, like, ten bucks, a really good one! I'm telling ya, Hanoi, in 2024, it's the place to be if you're on a tight budget. It's awesome. Just go. Seriously.
