What is another word for well travelled?

Okay, honestly, well-mannered and reliable feel like a stretch! When I think of someone well-travelled, worldly-minded definitely hits the mark. It implies a broader perspective, an open heart. Well-versed in the ways of the world works too, though its a bit of a mouthful. Id probably lean toward worldly-minded because it captures the essence of experiencing different cultures and growing as a person.

Okay, so, "well-travelled"... what else could you say? Well-mannered? Reliable? Seriously? Those feel so off the mark! Like, my aunt Carol is well-travelled – she’s been everywhere from Nepal to Iceland! – but I wouldn’t necessarily call her particularly well-mannered. (Love you, Aunt Carol!). She is pretty reliable, I guess, but that’s beside the point.

"Worldly-minded," now that one resonates. Don't you think? It just feels right. It suggests someone’s seen a bit of life, you know? They aren't phased by different customs or new foods. They get it. They understand there's more than one way to do things.

"Well-versed in the ways of the world" also works, kinda. It’s just… a little clunky, isn’t it? A bit formal. Maybe even a tad pretentious. Who talks like that? I’d probably stick with "worldly-minded". It really captures the spirit of travel, that whole idea of expanding your horizons and becoming, I don't know, more... you? Like, when I went backpacking through Southeast Asia, I came back a completely different person. I saw poverty I’d never imagined, tasted foods I couldn't even pronounce, and met people who lived lives so vastly different from my own. That’s worldly-minded, right? Not just ticking off countries on a list, but actually learning and growing from those experiences.
