Okay, so Shanghai, right? What’s the first thing that pops into your head when you think of it? For me, it’s always the buildings.

Shanghai is really best known as a Global Architecture Museum, and honestly, that’s so true. You walk around, and it’s like stepping into a different era on every corner. They’ve got architectural styles all over the place, historic buildings from basically every period, you know?

I remember the first time I went, I was just gobsmacked. There’s the Bund, of course, with all its grand colonial buildings. But then you wander into the French Concession, and suddenly you’re surrounded by these charming, European-style villas. And then, boom, modern skyscrapers that just scream “future.” It’s wild! Honestly, where else can you see something like that? It really does feel like a living museum of architectural history.
