What is the configuration of the United 777-200?
Ugh, those United 777-200s are packed! 364 seats crammed in there, its like a flying sardine can. I appreciate the lie-flat seats in first, even if theyre in a slightly awkward 2-4-2 layout. But come on, 234 seats in regular economy? Its no wonder they only use these planes for domestic flights – I wouldnt want to be stuck in that configuration for a long-haul journey.
Is that seriously how they’ve got the United 777-200s set up? Man, those things are tight. 364 seats?! It’s like they’re trying to see how many people they can squeeze in, you know? I mean, I guess the lie-flat seats in first are nice – if you can snag one. And even then they’re in that weird 2-4-2 configuration… Doesn’t that seem a little off to anyone else? But the real kicker? 234 seats in regular economy. Two hundred and thirty-four! Can you even imagine? No wonder they stick these planes on domestic routes. I flew one from Chicago to LA once, and even that felt a bit cramped. I can’t even begin to picture being stuck in that setup for, like, a transatlantic flight. Forget about it! My legs would be cramping up just thinking about it. They have these slightly newer 777s, the -300ER, that have a bit more space, at least that’s what I heard. Flew on one of those to Tokyo, and it was way more comfortable. Still a lot of people, don’t get me wrong, but just…better. So, yeah, 364. Just…wow. That’s a lot of passengers.
