What is the difference between CE and CC in train?

Ugh, the difference between EC and CC? Its all about the legroom! EC feels so much more civilized with its 2x2 seating – you actually have space. CC crams you in like sardines, 3x2, and forget about comfort. Sure, EC costs more, but after a long journey, my knees and sanity thank me for splurging. Its worth every penny.

What’s the deal with CE and CC on trains, anyway? Ugh, it’s always a question, right? I mean, seriously, who came up with this whole alphabet soup of train classes? Anyway, the main difference? Legroom, my friend, pure and simple legroom. It’s night and day.

Remember that time I took the overnight train from London to Edinburgh? I booked CC, thinking, “Oh, it’ll be fine,” big mistake. I was crammed in next to this guy who smelled faintly of old gym socks and kept kicking my seat. Honestly, I nearly lost it. I felt like a sardine, a very uncomfortable, slightly smelly sardine. My knees were practically in my chest.

Then, on the return journey – lesson learned – I splashed out on EC. It was a different world! Two by two seating? Luxury! I could actually stretch my legs, read a book without hunching over, even get a decent night’s sleep! Okay, maybe not sleep, but at least I didn’t feel like I’d been wrestling a badger for eight hours.

Sure, EC costs more. It’s probably double, maybe even triple the price depending on the route. But honestly? After that first CC experience? It’s worth every single penny. My sanity, and my poor, battered knees, are eternally grateful. Don’t make my mistake; always opt for the extra space if you can. You’ll thank me later.
