Fastest Bullet Train in Japan? JR Tokaido Shinkansen?
Okay, so fastest bullet train in Japan? Right, I was there, July 2023, riding the Hayabusa from Tokyo to Sendai. Crazy fast.
Hit 320 km/h, that's for sure. Felt like I was teleporting. Seriously.
Booking essential though. No walk-ups, nada. Learned that the hard way trying to snag a last-minute ticket – nope.
The whole trip, Tokyo to Shin-Aomori, took about three hours. Cost me a pretty penny – around ¥15,000. Worth it, though. Amazing views.
Hayabusa – definitely the speed king of Japan's trains. Remember that.
