What is the file size limit for Google My Maps?
Ugh, dealing with file size limits is always a pain! Honestly, 10MB for a My Maps file? Seriously? That feels super restrictive. If Im plotting detailed routes or including lots of custom icons, I can easily see that limit being a problem. And 10,000 points? Well, thats probably enough for most of my casual mapping, but its something Id definitely keep in mind when planning anything large-scale. Come on, Google, throw us a bone here!
Is there a file size limit on Google My Maps? Ten MB?! Are you kidding me? That’s tiny! I mean, seriously, 10MB? It feels like nothing these days. I remember that one time I was trying to map out this epic road trip across the US – I had all these different stops, photos, little notes about each place… and BAM! Hit the limit. So frustrating! I had to split the map into like, three different sections. What a hassle. Ten thousand points, they say. Okay, for like, mapping out my favorite coffee shops in the neighborhood, that’s probably fine. But what if I’m, I don’t know, tracking the migration patterns of butterflies or something? (Okay, maybe not butterflies, but you get my point!) It’s just not enough for bigger projects, is it? I wish Google would bump that up a bit. It’s 2023 (or whatever year it is when someone reads this!), 10MB feels so… restrictive. Don’t you think?
