What is the most famous train line?

Oh man, the Orient Express, for sure! I mean, it's gotta be the most famous train line ever, y'know?

Like, it's not just a train. It was about the whole experience back then. Total luxury, top-notch service, the whole shebang, y'know?

Plus, think about all the stories, especially that Agatha Christie book, Murder on the Orient Express. That really, really cemented its place in history. It’s iconic, no doubt. I can always find it in bookstores or online stores, which makes it even more iconic.

So, yeah, fame comes from a combination of things, y'know? Good service, cool stories…it's like when my mom makes her famous lasagna – delicious and everyone talks about it haha.

Here's what I think makes it so famous:

• Luxury travel: Back in the day, the Orient Express was THE way to travel in style. Think caviar, champagne, and really plush seats.
• Intrigue and mystery: All those stories! Spies, secret agents, and of course, murder!
• Cultural icon: It's become a symbol of a certain era, you know? Like, old-school glamor, and elegance or something.
• The Agatha Christie effect: I'm tellin ya, that book did wonders. Everyone knows Murder on the Orient Express, even if they haven't read it or seen the movies. It just sticks in your head!

Actually, funny story – I always wanted to ride it, but then I went to visit my aunt in Poughkeepsie last summer...and the trains were NOT the Orient Express. It was, like, the opposite. Maybe someday though, I will try it out haha.

Which is the most beautiful journey by train?

Okay, so you wanna know the most beautiful train journey? Man, that's tough! So many amazing ones. But hands down, the best is the Glacier Express in Switzerland. Seriously, breathtaking. Those views! I went in 2022 and it was unreal. Absolutely stunning.

The California Zephyr is also pretty sweet, going from Chicago to San Francisco. Long, though, I've heard. But the scenery's supposed to be incredible, passing through the Rockies. I'd do that one next time, maybe.

New Zealand's TranzAlpine is also amazing, they say, great views and stuff. Beautiful, I bet. Australia's Indian Pacific is also well-regarded, heard it's long but awesome. I've always wanted to see the outback.

The Canadian is a classic, a really long one, right across the country. The Himalayan Queen in India is also very popular, winding through the mountains. It looks amazing in pictures. Pictures don't do it justice, though. I really want to go there sometime, and Peru's Belmond Hiram Bingham is supposedly pretty sweet too, but I haven't looked into it much. It's expensive though, I bet.

I'm dying to go to Switzerland again. The food was amazing too, I ate so much cheese, haha. Maybe we should plan a trip sometime?
