Oldest Operating Railroad in the World?

Okay, so, oldest railway? I always thought it was something in England, right? But I'm kinda hazy on specifics. My dad took me to the Middleton Railway in Leeds, maybe 2010? I remember tiny steam trains, really cute.

It's in Leeds. Definitely Leeds. The whole thing's a heritage thing now, volunteers run it, I think they said 1758 was the start date. Sounds old, huh?

Yeah, the Middleton Railway. Been going since 1758, apparently. It’s still chugging along, somehow. Pretty amazing, if you ask me. My childhood memories are all fuzzy.

Main station's on Moor Road. That much I recall clearly enough. We even bought a little train toy there; about £5, I think. Sweet little thing.
