The safest spot on a bus is generally considered to be in the middle aisle seats. This location offers increased protection in most collision scenarios. Prioritize aisle seats after confirming their location with the bus carrier.

Safest seating on a bus: Where is it located for maximum safety?

Okay, so, safest seat on a bus, huh? That's a question I've actually pondered before, especially after that one time...

Basically, the word on the street (or, uh, the bus lane?) is that the middle seats, specifically those aisle seats nestled between the front tires, are supposedly the safest spot. Think of it like being cushioned.

I think it makes some sense, right? I mean, think about it.

I remember one time, back in August 2018 (ish, maybe?) I was taking a BoltBus (RIP, I think?) from NYC to Boston. I always tried to snag a seat in the middle.

Cost me like, $20 something? Can't recall exact price.

Anyway, the idea, at least in my mind, was always to be surrounded by other bodies, somewhat protected from front or rear impacts. I dunno. Maybe I'm just paranoid. Maybe the back is safer, who knows?
