What is the TSA official dress code?

Okay, so you’re wondering about what TSA officers wear, right? It’s pretty much a standard look. Think royal blue – like, a really royal blue. They’ve got these button-down shirts or polos in that color. You know, pretty professional looking. And for bottoms? Dresses, skirts, or slacks are all good. Makes sense, I guess. They need to be able to move around and stuff.

But what they can’t wear is kind of interesting. No t-shirts! I mean, who doesn’t love a comfy tee? And no tank tops either. Which, okay, I can understand in a professional setting, but still. Also jeans are a no-go. Jeans! Can you believe it? And definitely no shorts, baggy pants, or those pants with all the pockets on the outside. You know the kind I’m talking about? Like cargo pants? Probably a safety thing, I’d imagine. Something about not wanting people to stash things easily? Who knows.

Anyway, they really want you to wear that official royal blue shirt. I saw this guy at the airport once, totally rocking the full uniform. It was almost… impressive? Like, he clearly took pride in his work. It’s kinda cool, actually, when you think about it. You see that blue and you know who you’re dealing with. Makes you feel a little safer, maybe? Or at least a little more organized, in that whole chaotic airport environment.
