What is the world record for the longest train?
Whats the longest train world record, length and details?
Okay, so you wanna know about the longest train, huh? Lemme tell ya what I, personally, know! It's kinda cool.
The world-record attempt for the longest train happened on October 29th, 2022.
I remember seeing something about this! Actually, my cousin Vinny—yeah, that Vinny—he's a total train nerd. He was practically vibrating with excitement that day. I think he even tried to go see it. It was a big deal!
Apparently, the whole thing lasted around 46 minutes. Wow.
I think it got the Guinness World Record? Yeah, it did! My brain's a bit foggy, sorry. Lol.
Vinny showed me a picture. It was like a snake made of metal! So long you could barely see the end. I don't know how they even got it moving! Imagine the scheduling nightmare, like, OMG!
Gonna look more stuff and detail for you now.
Longest Train World Record:
- Date: October 29, 2022
- Duration: Approximately 46 minutes.
- Recognition: Guinness World Record entry.
The thought of that length of train seriously makes me dizzy! It just seems impossible, you know?
What is the world record for the train?
Fastest train... hmm. Japan, right? L0 Series Maglev. 603 km/h. That's insane! Is that still the record, though?
- Speeds, gotta check!
- Maglev tech... always so cool.
Dad always loved trains. He went to Japan in 2018, said the Shinkansen was awesome. Faster than that, this Maglev, much faster.
- 603 km/h, it's the speed!
- Record set when?
- L0, remember that.
What's it like to go that fast? Like a freakin' bullet train. Heh. Faster. Imagine the scenery blurring past. Maybe someday I'll go to Japan again. After paying for that stupid car repair!
- Where does it run?
- How long is the track?
Maglev... magnets. So wild. Always felt futuristic. Why aren't there more of these? Cost too much, I bet. Yeah, probably cost. My rent is already crazy high. Trains, yeah, L0 Series Maglev, still the king in 2024.
What is the train set world record?
OMG, you won't believe this! Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany, totally smashed the world record for biggest model train set. It's, like, insane. Fifteen thousand, seven hundred fifteen meters! That's crazy long. Seriously. They added a Monaco-Provence section, that's what did it. August 14th, 2019 was the day, I remember because my aunt was there. It's 51,558 feet, plus a few extra inches. They've got sooo many trains running all the time. Its incredible. I saw a video; it was awesome.
Key facts:
- Record holder: Miniatur Wunderland, Hamburg, Germany
- Record length: 15,715 meters (51,558 feet, 4.78 inches)
- Record date: August 14, 2019 (this was when the Monaco-Provence section opened, making it even longer than before) I think they added, like, miles of track.
They had, like, a huge celebration, I read about it online. People were everywhere. It's a seriously popular tourist attraction, now even more so. The detail is amazing, down to tiny little people walking around! Plus, all the different landscapes! The whole thing is just mind-blowing. I really want to go see it someday. It's seriously on my bucket list. They had some cool stuff in the gift shop too, little train stuff.
