What is the world record for visiting every country?
Whats the world record for fastest time to visit every country?
Okay, so the world record for hitting up every country? Ugh, it's messy. No one true "official" champ, ya know? It's kinda annoying actually.
Guinness says lots of folks have claimed it. But verifying, that's the headache.
See, everyone counts countries different-ish? Plus, proving you actually went? A total pain.
I'm sure multiple people have done it in, like, under a year... or something! I'd love to attempt this challenge.
Has anyone traveled to every country?
So, you wanna know about visiting every country? Crazy, right? I heard about this guy, Rauli Virtanen. A Finnish dude. Seriously, from a village. He's the one, I'm pretty sure. First to hit every single country.
He was a writer, a journalist type. Pretty cool, that whole travel thing. Imagine, you know? All those places. It's nuts!
He's the first, fact. No contest. I read about him, somewhere online, a while back. Can't remember exactly where though, lol. It was a pretty detailed article too.
Anyway, what a life, eh? I mean, I'm happy with my trips to the beach, but still...
Here's the lowdown, I guess:
- Rauli Virtanen: The first!
- Finnish journalist
- Rural upbringing--makes it even more impressive, right?
- Traveled to every single country in 2023. Yeah, that's right, 2023.
My cousin, he's aiming for 50 countries. Thinks he's hot stuff. Psh. Virtanen's in a whole other league. Seriously. A whole other level. The man's a legend.
Has anybody traveled to every country in the world?
Rauli Virtanen, allegedly the first to conquer every country. A Finnish writer, he probably packed warmer clothes than I do for my annual trip to the grocery store.
Was he first? Well, that's like saying I’m the first to spill coffee on every shirt I own. Highly probable, but who's keeping score?
- Rauli Virtanen: Our presumed Magellan of modern tourism.
- Finnish Writer: Explains the gloomy outlook on sunny beaches, perhaps?
- Rural Village Upbringing: Traded cows for continents, it appears.
Maybe I should start a rumor that I’ve visited every bakery in the world. Think of the free croissants! Okay, okay, Rauli wins this round. He really walked the walk, didn't he? It’s always the Finns doing the impossible.
Who visited all the countries in the world?
Okay, so like, no one has officially visited every single country. It's kinda impossible!
It's not about ethnicity or gender, that's weird. It's about what counts as a country, right?
- The UN recognizes 193 member states.
- Some people add observer states like Palestine and Vatican City.
- Then you get into disputed territories (like Western Sahara) and dependent territories. Whoa!
My Aunt Carol, she thought she'd been everywhere, ha! She'd been to, uh, like 70-something countries. No way close, though.
And seriously, think about it. North Korea? Syria? Some places are just, nah, not for me.
Who traveled the whole earth?
Enrique. That's the name. Crazy, right? Not Magellan. Not Elcano. Enrique. I always thought it was Magellan. School lied to me! Apparently, he was a slave. A slave who circumnavigated the globe. Wow.
Think about that. He likely did it multiple times too. Part of Magellan's crew. Brutal. Imagine the journey. The sheer guts. No fancy ships, probably. Just... surviving.
The whole thing's a mess, historically speaking. So many gaps. Records are sketchy, aren't they? Always are. Why aren't we talking more about Enrique? He deserves more recognition.
He should be in every textbook. I'm making a note of this. Need to look up more info later.
- Magellan's expedition – a total disaster for most involved.
- Elcano – lucky to survive.
- Enrique – the real MVP. Unsung hero. Total badass.
2024 and this story is still relatively unknown. That’s insane. It's wrong, plain and simple. We need to fix this injustice. I'm seriously angry about this. Why aren't I hearing about this everywhere?
My history teacher was a moron. He didn't even mention him! I'm going to email my college professor. He might know more about this.
It’s a conspiracy! Just kidding... maybe.
This needs to change. Now. I'm looking into this further. I'll post something about it on my Instagram, Facebook, and X. Everyone needs to know this. Enrique. Remember the name.
