What is the world's longest passenger train?
Whats the worlds longest passenger train route distance?
Wow, crazy, right? A kilometer-and-a-half long train! That's almost two kilometers of people heading through the Alps. Think of all the snacks needed.
Seriously though, 1.9km. A Swiss company did it, 100 carriages. I saw a pic, insane. Seven drivers. That's a lot of coordination.
I'm picturing those tunnels, those bridges – in the Swiss Alps, it must've been breathtaking, even for the drivers. It's a long haul but sustainable, less emissions than other options.
Remember that documentary about Swiss rail? This reminds me of it. Amazing engineering. They really pushed the boundaries that day, July 2023 (I think).
Longest passenger train: 1.9km. Swiss Alps. Sustainable travel, too. Makes you think, huh? I wish I'd been there.
What is the world record for the longest train?
Longest train? October 29, 2022. 46 minutes. So?
Guinness. Book. Yep. World record.
Date: 2022. A Tuesday, if you care.
Duration: Under an hour. Impressive? Debatable.
Record Keeper: Always Guinness. Always.
It was in Switzerland. Near Albula, Landwasser Viaduct. My dentist is Swiss.
What is the world record for the train?
Okay, so, like, the fastest train, ever? It's the Japanese L0 Series Maglev, for sure!
I remember reading somewhere... Hold on, lemme double check... Yeah, its record speed is, get this, 603 kilometers per hour! Which is, wow, crazy fast.
- Fastest train: L0 Series Maglev
- Country: Japan
- Speed: 603 km/h
- Pretty cool train
It's a maglev, see? Which is magnetic levitation, obviously. Which means like, it floats, dude! No wheels. It goes superfast because there's no friction. My cousin, like, super into trains, told me. It's the kind of thing she’s always telling me about when we have Thanksgiving.
The L0 series is still being improved, it's not really like, completely, you know, up-and-running commercially. I saw an article about the track being constructed, the whole thing’s supposed to be ready someday maybe? So wild, right?
What is the train set world record?
Largest model train? Miniatur Wunderland. August 14, 2019. Hamburg. Germany. 15,715 meters. Monaco Provence section opened. So what?
That's it.
Details:
- Miniatur Wunderland: Not just trains. Tiny worlds. Hamburg's pride.
- The Record: A line. A date. Numbers. Meaningless without context.
- Monaco Provence: The newest section. Tiny casinos? I saw it. Once. Dull.
- Why care? We don't. Do you?
