What questions does immigration ask at the airport?
Airport immigration, ugh. My heart always starts racing a little, you know? It's like, bam, suddenly you're under a microscope. They always ask the same basic stuff: "What's the purpose of your visit?" "How long are you planning to stay?" And of course, "Where will you be staying?" Sometimes they even ask for an address! Like, I can never remember the exact house number off the top of my head. It just feels so…interrogative. Makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong, even when I'm totally not. Remember that time I flew to visit my sister in Canada? They grilled me for like, ten minutes, asking about my job, my finances… I felt like a criminal! They wanted proof I had ties back home and wouldn't overstay my visa. Seriously?! I had a return ticket staring them in the face! Isn't a valid visa supposed to be, like, enough? Honestly, the whole process is just so anxiety-inducing. I get why they have to do it, security and all that, but man, it just makes travel so much more stressful. Don't you think?
