Air travel in the 1990s offered a more comfortable experience. Perks included complimentary meals in economy class, more spacious seating with greater legroom, and generally more padded seats. Security procedures were also significantly less stringent than post-9/11.

How was air travel in the 1990s? Flight experiences, history?

Okay, so air travel back in the 90s...man, different world. Seriously. I think I actually liked it, which is kinda cray cray to say about flying now, right?

Back then, you got fed, even in economy! Remember those little trays of airplane food? Maybe not gourmet, but still, food! And, the seats! More padding, more space for your legs. Felt less like sardines.

Security before 9/11? A dream, really. I flew outta LaGuardia (I think it was July, 1998?) and basically strolled through. No taking off your shoes, no tiny bottles of shampoo drama. Easy peasy.

Honestly, flying felt... less stressful. More civilized? Maybe I'm just romanticizing it. I dunno. But yeah, I miss the 90s flying experience, hard.
