Finding an apartment was easy, relatively speaking. I ended up in a gorgeous little place overlooking the Saigon River. The views were incredible at sunset. Absolutely gorgeous. The landlord, a lovely woman named Mrs. Nguyen, was super helpful. She even helped me navigate the local market—a total jungle at first. Finding my way around was a little stressful early on.

Transportation was easy via Grab. Much easier than navigating Hanoi's chaotic streets, trust me. I hate motorbikes. The food scene was incredible. So much good street food. I loved the Banh Mi cart down the street. Best I've ever had, hands down.

District 2 wins for quality of life. Binh Thanh felt too congested, too much like a city within a city. Tay Ho was alright, but it lacked the river views and the overall vibe was a bit… stuffy, for lack of a better word.
