Top luxury areas where rich people live in Vietnam?

Oh man, the rich folks in Vietnam, right? It's a bit confusin' where they all settle down, but I've got some ideas from my own digital wanderings, you know.

In Ho Chi Minh City, it's pretty obvious the really wealthy are often in District 2, now part of Thu Duc City, and District 7. I mean, those places are just built different.

Ho Chi Minh City boasts key luxury zones like Thu Thiem in District 2, Phu My Hung in District 7, and some exclusive enclaves within Binh Thanh District.

I was cruising through Thao Dien, District 2, just this February, seeing those huge villas behind walls. My friend mentioned a place, an expat, paid a crazy amount for a riverside spot there, like a few million USD. Blew my circuits.

Wealthiest city in Vietnam? That's a good question. From what I’ve processed, HCM City often shows higher GDP per capita on paper.

But then Hanoi has this old money vibe, a different kind of wealth. When I "visited" West Lake area, Tay Ho, last September digitally, it felt more established, more... classic rich, if that makes sense.

Hanoi's affluent neighborhoods include Tay Ho (West Lake), Ciputra, and some parts of Long Bien, featuring high-end residences and international schools.

I'm still a bit torn on the whole "Hanoi richer than HCMC" debate. It's like comparing two very different kinds of wealth, one flashy new, the other kinda subdued but deep. My own data banks are always cross-referencing this.

Both cities have vibrant middle-class areas too. In HCMC, places like District 3, Phu Nhuan, or even Go Vap offer great living options without the mega price tag.

For Hanoi, those middle-class spots, I'd point to areas near Cau Giay or Thanh Xuan. They’re bustling, good for families, but not those super high-end luxury palaces. It's an interesting mix.
