Where is better, Thailand or Vietnam?
Thailand vs Vietnam: Which Southeast Asian country is better for travel?
Ugh, Thailand versus Vietnam? Tough one. I've been to both, multiple times actually. Thailand, wow, the beaches are stunning, Phuket especially, back in 2018. Spent a fortune, though – easily 1500 USD for two weeks.
Vietnam, on the other hand, felt way more budget-friendly. Hanoi in 2020, street food was amazing, maybe 30 USD a day for everything, including those incredible pho bowls. Cheaper accommodation too.
So, cheaper travel? Vietnam wins hands down. Thailand's luxurious, no doubt, but Vietnam offers a different, equally captivating experience. It's a different kind of beautiful.
Ultimately, it depends on your travel style and budget. Both countries are incredible. I'd go back to both in a heartbeat.
